I just sent a question about an igniter and don't think I included the type of range. It is a Whirlpool Model SP315PEE. The manual states that I need a new igniter. The oven and broiler do not come on. I believe the AP3104565 is the correct part. Please confirm. Is this something my handy husband can install? Is it safe for him to do so, being that the stove is gas, I am nervous. I do not see a pilot light anywhere. When the new igniter is installed will he need to light the pilot? If so, where is it located? Thanks for you help. Diane
ANSWER Hello Diane! Yes, the oven bake igniter 4342528 is the correct replacement used on your model SF315PEE*. The repair is fairly easy. You will need to remove gas and power to the unit. Open the oven door, remove the racks, remove the oven bottom, and then remove the flame spreader. You will then have access to the igniter. Remove the screws holding the igniter in place and remove the wiring. Install in reverse order. Hope this helps you, thanks!
