I had the baking element ( 74003019 ) burn out. The local applicance store sold me one which has the same connectors although the metal flanges which screw into the back of the oven where the connectors go into the back do not cover the opening totally. I plugged in the element however it does not heat up. Is there another fuse which could have blown that can be replaced? Could the element type not work because of a compatibility problem? Note: I did incurr a arc originally when pulling out the old element. Did not have the unit unplugged at first. Unplugged and proceeded with removing the old baking element.
ANSWER Hello Dave,
You will want to check your relay board to make sure that you are getting power from the relay board to the element. You should have 240 vac from the relay board Bake to L1. This is with unit on bake. If you do not have 240 vac then you would need to replace relay board 74001870.
