My 6 year old oven heats up very, very slowly. The currant heating element is covered with a black, crusty debris & I think this is the reason why this happens. Can a novice replace this heating element?
ANSWER Yes, as long as you unplug the unit, it's easy to install. Just remove the screws holding it in, and unplug the wires off the old one, and reinstall the new one.
