I have a whirlpool oven model # RF378PXGQ. The bottom trim on the oven door is rusting and I want to replace just the bottom trim. Is it possible to replace the bottom trim piece without having to remove the oven door? Can I just unscrew the trim and make sure I hold the glass in place while putting the new trim strip on the bottom? If so, what part/parts do I need? Does the part include the screws needed or is that another part?
The part that you would need for your unit is 8184859 oven door trim kit. The bottom trim is not available separately and you would use the same screws that are on the part. The easiest way to do the repair is to remove the door as the side trim will also be in this kit.
