How do I connect leads for oven ignitor part#AP4041749 -- for an Amana Gas oven Model #AOGD275OE (manufactured in 1997)?
I have removed the tray at the bottom of the oven and see the part -- but the leads go somewhere underneath and don't appear to be accessible. How do I get to them to connect? I am 110 lbs. and the two guys that installed this originally were about 250 lbs each!!!!! Do I need to remove the entire front of the oven?? HELP . .THIS OVEN HAS BEEN OUT OF COMMISSION SINCE BEFORE THANKSGIVING!! Thanks for your assistance!
ANSWER Hello Annetteds. You can remove the screws securing the old igniter, and pull the wires out of the hole until the wire can be cut. Then you will cut the wires and splice the new igniter 31939701 into the unit using ceramic wire nuts TJMA01166-1. Hope this helps.
