I have a whirlpool oven, model number WFG361LVS2 and the surface stoves work completely fine, when I broil the oven ignites and works, although when I hit bake and set a temp, the ignition will click about 3-4 times but nothing will happen. I'm just wondering if the oven does turn on when on broil how could it not turn on when I hit bake, what could be wrong?

Dharti for Model Number WFG361LVS2

ANSWER Dharti, you'll need to check the gas valve part number W10293048. Test for 3.2-3.6 volts AC at the gas safety valve with the igniter turned on. If the voltage is there, you have a bad safety valve. If the voltage is low, you have a weak igniter and the igniter will need to be replaced. The bake igniter is part number 9758079. Hope this information helps you, thanks!
