Both of the igniters glow but when I set the bake preheat, it takes a couple of minutes before the gas valve will open. When it gets up to temperature, and then needs to add more heat, it takes a couple of minutes again before the gas valve will open. I haven’t set the broil and waited for it to turn on but the gas valve does not open within 30 seconds of turning it on. I read 3.0 Amps on the Bake Igniter but I read that it is uncommon for both to fail at the same time. I haven’t used the Broil at all on the oven so it may have been bad for a while? Anyway, I just wanted to make sure this wouldn’t be a different issue before I ordered the part. The burners on the top work fine. This problem occurred quickly, it worked just fine one day and within two days I noticed it.
ANSWER Hello Chritz,
You have to read 3.2 to 3.6 amps for the ignitor to be considered a good part. Since the amperage is so low, I have to assume that the ignitors are need of replacement. You need to find the model number in order to look up the correct replacement part.
