Do I need to remove the oven from the wall to replace the oven temp sensor. I just replaced the thermal fuse i purchased from you and the oven now works. However I'm concerned that if I use the self clean function again it will blow the thermal fuse again unless I replace the oven temp sensor. Could you give me your thoughts and can I install the sensor without removing the oven. Thanks Russ Brooks

Russell for Model Number KEBC177KBL03 Kitchen Aid Built in oven

ANSWER Russel, Yes you should be able to replace the oven temp. sensor W10131825, without removing the oven from the wall. Remove the oven door, remove the racks, then remove the two(2) mounting screws and slowly extract the sensor and harness from the cavity. An oven temp. sensor is not usually the reason for an "open" thermal fuse on an oven, it's usually due to improper air movement around or in the wall oven. We will send you some information with the other checks you'll need to make and corrections needed.
