I am trying to replace the overlay touchpad on my frig. Once I remove the facade and unplug the ribbon cable, I can remove the control panel. But there is a plastic cover over the touchpad. Anyone know how to remove that piece?
ANSWER Randy, Once you remove the facade, and disconnect the ribbon from the control board, you set the facade aside and perform the repairs you need to make. There isn't usually a reason to remove the keypad overlay from the facade, unless it's damaged. Just be careful when you're dismantling the facade, and make sure you remove power to the refrigerator before you start.
