what should the ohm readings be for the overload and start relay and capacitor . freezer is warming blowing cold not freezing turn temp control to off and it shut off turn a little and on right away compressor warm to touch not sure what terminals to put ohm meter wires on and should they read 0 ?
ANSWER Scott, You should have no 0 (infinite resistance) "open" circuit readings. The overload 2214067 should have a "closed" circuit (000) across the terminals at all times. The capacitor 2169373 when tested, your meter will deflect towards a "closed" circuit, then drop back down to 0 (infinite resistance). You'll need to remove the the start relay 2262185 from the compressor and test from the top pin (c) to the pin on the bottom left(start) and you should read 3 to 11 ohms. and from the top pin to the the bottom right pin (run) should read 1 to 6 ohms resistance. Make sure you label or mark the wires when you remove them from the terminals on the components.
