I have water leaking from the control panel area. It seems to be frozen up and dripping as it melts. It's coming out the bottom and my drip pan is dry.

Remove the back wall of the freezer compartment and use a hair dryer to melt the ice from the drain hole under the cold coils. This is a very time consuming job so don't expect to be done in ten minutes. Depending on the ice build-up, I have spent as long as 45 minutes clearing the drain. It's important not to damage anything by trying to force a coat hanger or anything sharp into the hole as this will cause an internal leak that cannot be repaired. If you get the urge to cram anything down the hole, use weedeater line. This will cause no damage. After the drain is clear, pour one cup of hot water down it. Then put one tablespoon of white vinegar down the tube to prevent algae formation. Before reassembly, make sure the ports into the fresh food section are clear so the fresh food section can operate normally.
