I have ordered the parts to replace the panels and control panel cover to change from white to stainless. The door panel is simple enough, but I could use some help with the control panel cover. It does not just pop off to replace when the screws are removed. Thanks in advance for your help.
ANSWER Hello Janet. Remove the inner door panel. Then remove the plastic shield (on certain models). Disconnect the ribbon cable from the control board. Remove the control board and latch assembly. Remove the screws securing the control panel to the outer door frame. Reinstall in reverse order with new control panel 6-915776. Hope this helps.
