I have a strange question for you that you probably have never got before regarding appliances - specifically in this case clothes dryers. I have a rare medical issue that any time I look at LED lights for even a short time they give me a migraine-like headache that lasts 24 hours. Doctors and opthamologists have not been able to figure this out. So we bought a new $900 LG Gas dryer recently and got it setup to use and then realized that the control panel is backlit by LED lights. I can't use the dryer and will try to return it. My question is this, is there a way to tell when buying a new dryer if it uses a control panel with LEDs? Are there any that are lit with incandescent bulbs anymore that won't give me a headache? I know there are some that are the traditional style with knobs that might work for me. Just wondering if all the electro-mechanical ones are lit with LEDs now.
Thanks for your time,
Most units now have the LED lighting whether in the form of back lights on an led screen or number lights like a digital clock. You may want to just go with a basic model that has knobs. If you are able to look at a digital clock then there are some that have this type of display, which are just numbers.
