Hi, My Kenmore Elite dishwasher had a pitcher of tea spilled on the counter above the washer and went down the front while door was shut. Now it will not work. I suspect either the touchpad or the control timer board, or both. I have not used the washer in over a year due to this problem. My question is, if I order both parts, and one, or both parts, fix my problem, do you think the tub seal will leak, or if any other problems you think I may have due to unit sitting for so long with no use. Wanted to ask before I spend the money or waste your time or mine. Also can I return any part that I dont use?

I would suspect either one of the door switches 8269209 (X2) or the electronic control board 8564543.
