My touch pad has no effect on oven. I had an appliance tech. out and was told it was the touch pad. Does this sound correct?
I just want to make sure it is not the control board before i order the touch pad kit.
ANSWER Hello Todd,
Remove the control panel and clean the ribbon cable with a pencil eraser. This is delicate and there is a specific way to do it without causing damage to the ribbon cable. Rub the traces in the same direction the traces run. Any other direction will destroy the ribbon cable. If this doesn't correct the issue, change the touch pad. If this makes no difference, replace the touchpad W10122295.
