Hello, when I change the orifice from NG to LP do I need to replace the pin block too? My dryer is not even a year old and I had to take it to repair because the igniter burnt out.The tecnician said that the orifice that is mounted is not right. There is too much gas pumping out. I bought the conversion kit when I purchased the dryer 279918 LPG gas conversion kit. I'm wondering if I replace these parts will my dryer function properly or will present me with these same problems?
ANSWER Hello Tania,
The pin block would not have anything to do with the unit getting too much gas. The too much gas would be either too high of pressure or a bad safety valve. You would want to have the gas company out to see what the gas pressure is. When they test it you should have between 10 and 12 Water column inches. If it is higher or lower than this then it will lock up the valve. If the pressure is good and you are getting too much gas then you would need a new valve.
