I was replacing the cooktop on my KECC508 electric cooktop. Thought it was a simple glass removal and didn't disconnect power (I know - I know). When I finally got the glass to separate from cooktop heard a pop (short) and smelled a slight electrical smell. Tried the change anyway - gently pried control board from old glass and stuck it to new glass. No power to unit at all. How can I tell what needs to be replaced? Either the power relay board 3192698 or control board 3192771. Thanks.
Check to make sure that the breaker is on and check to make sure that it is on. Also check from L1 to N on the control board to make sure that you are getting 120 vac . If there is proper power then replace the control board.
