I have this Maytag dryer. It is making a bearing noise coming from the back of the dryer by the electric motor. Sounds like something is tumbling around. The dryer works fine except for this noise. Can you tell me what it could be? Thank you.
ANSWER Hello Rodney, there is a pulley 6-3051850 on your motor but, the idler pulley 6-3037050 is more likely to fail than the motor pulley. Also, on the other end of the motor, you should check the blower wheel Y303836. While you're in there, take a look at the drum support rollers 12001541 and drum glides 306508. That is most of the likely noise makers in a dryer. Hope this helps!
