My washer will agitate but will not spin. It pumps water out fine. There is a smell of burning belts as well.
Should I replace both belts?
ANSWER Rick, Yes you will want to replace both belts 12112425, but since the washer won't spin , you'll need to check for an article stuck between the tubs, and or a seized tub bearing 6-2095720 and 6-2040130 assembly. Raise and block up the front of the washer, remove the belts, grasp the transmission pulley and turn it clockwise, if the transmission doesn't turn, or there is a POP noise or you feel the transmission "break" loose and it turns, you most likely have a seized tub bearing.
