Hi, I bought a new drain pump because water was not draining. After installing new drain pump, most the water is removed. There is still some in the bottom of the dishwasher. If I push the drain cycle then all the water will be reomoved. What would cause it to not completely drainduring the normal wash? The pump seems to work fine if you cycle it.

ANSWER Joe you'll need to check the drain hose and drain system for a kink or clog. First ry disconnecting the drain hose from the disposal or drain pipe and drain the dishwasher into a large buccket( 5 gallon bucket works best) that should remove any debris in the hose. then check the disposal or hose connection on the pipe. I'm sure you've removed the filter and checked under it ( in the sump) for any debris, etc. Thanks
