Do I really need the part # 31, ap2908817 centering tool if I want to replace the motor and pump assembly on my model kudm25shbt1 dish washer?? Also, when we bought the unit the low decibels was part of the pitch--quiet er than most other DW's at the time.Something about a gold bond quiet version of motor. Are the replacement motors similar. Noise is one of the driving forces behind replacing what we have?? Thank you
If you are replacing the complete pump assembly then no you would not need the centering too. The centering tool is uses for when you are disassembling the pump assembly in order to rebuild it. The complete pump assembly is part number W10428773.
