Purchased a new motor gasket, gasket kit, and a drain / impeller kit (AP3115180) for our dishwasher because it leaked. Is this tool needed? I guess I'm not clear on the purpose of the tool and if I really need to purchase one to reassemble the dishwasher based on the parts ordered. What would happen if I didn't use the tool (if it is recommended)?

ANSWER Hello. As long as you center the pump housing, the tool is not needed. If not centered, you will have issues. It is best to use the tool 303918 to help you when replacing these parts.
