Is there a screen kit to stop small coins from getting into the pump and breaking the black impeller housing.

ANSWER Mike, no , there is no screen kit for the drain system, Nor is there any reccomendations to do so. It would create a drain problem eventually causing the washer to malfuntion. You'll need to be more cautious about checking the pockets of the articles when loading the machine. Good Luck.
