I have a Whirlpool dryer - the seal has become deteriorated and partially loose from the rear of the drum. First of all, this seal is visible all the way around. When watching the repair video it doesn't look like the seal will be visible from the inside after it has been installed. He uses the adhesive to apply it to the outside of the drum. I ordered the Felt Seal and in the description it reads "Dryer rear felt seal. Includes adhesive." What is the difference between the Rear Drum Felt Seal and the Felt Seal I ordered besides the amount of money? The two seals look almost the same. Before we tear into this thing, I was wondering if we have the right part in hand.
I did use my model number to search for the part and did review the isometric drawing in my manual but it wasn't very clear.
There is not a difference in the felt seals other than one of the parts comes with the adhesive and the other doesn't.
