I have roper side by side refrigerator. The freezer side is very cold and I can see ice/frost on the grill on freezer side. This is resulting in not flowing the cool air to the fridge side which gets warm spoiling the food stuff/milk etc. 1) What part do I need 2) Can I see the video how to replace the defrost timer kit if need to replace that or is it bimetal thermostat which need to be replaced?

Sunder for Model Number RS22AQXMQ00

ANSWER Hello Sunder, What you will need to check is the continuity of the defrost heater 2323197 and defrost bimetal W10225581. If you have continuity through both then you need to replace the timer 482493. If there is no continuity through the heater then the heater would need to be replaced. If no continuity through the bimetal with the bimetal being in the frost then you would need to replace the bimetal. To access the timer you would pull the knobs out. Take a flat blade screwdriver behind the cover of the control panel and pop cover loose. Then you remove the 2 screws at the top of the control panel and 2 at the back of the control panel. Remove the 2 phillips head screws under the timer and make sure you have disconnected power to unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
