Please help regarding replacement defrost timer #482493. I've received two different answers from your help dept. regarding which terminal to place the extra black wire. The first answer was on terminal #1 which connects to the orange wire in the harness. I replied today stating I'm still having trouble with the timer sticking in defrost mode, and I have to manually turn it with a screwdriver to get it going again, and it will run okay for a few days. The person who answered my question today says the black wire on the timer should be placed on terminal #2. A third opinoin would be greatly appreciated before I try terminal #2, as I don't want to damaged the timer if I haven't already done so by placing the black wire on terminal #1.
ANSWER Hello Jim. Sorry for the confusion, but according to the wiring diagram for your model, the black wire goes to terminal number 1 of the timer.
