My Whirlpool is leaking water into the refrigerator section when the drain hose freezes over.
I replaced the Defrost Timer Kit part number 482493 and checked with your support team to make sure it was wired correctly( Thank You) I also replaced the Defrost Thermostat part number 1044241. The defrost heater is working because not only does it show continuity but it is hot to the touch. I clear the drain hose and everything is fine until it starts to freeze. To clear it I ran hot water through it followed by bleach, ran a wire through it, and dropped a pellet down it. The hose is clear as far as I can tell, but will start to freeze over in about 7 days and eventully become iced over to where it starts leaking. I am all out of ideas and would really appreciate some of your expert advice. The model number for the Whirlpool is ET1CHMXKB07
ANSWER Hello Glenn. It sounds like the drain pipe need to be blowed out using a turkey bastor and tube. Something keeps clogging the tube on the unit.
