The dryer has just stopped working. When I turn the selector dial, I hear the timer working. When I push the start button, I get nothing. Would this be a faulty relay on the back side of the start button? I think it is part # 3398094. Could anyone confirm this?
ANSWER Hello Dave,
You would need to check the door switch to make sure that it is not faulty. You would also want to check the thermal fuse to make sure that it is not blown. Check continuity on both components. With door closed you should have continuity on the door switch. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
