Hello, My heater relay seems to be defective. But it seems it is a 24VDC relay. On the diagram on the machine, it says the voltage for this relay as well a the motor relay is 24VAC. Could there be a mistake on the diagram?

ANSWER Leo, No The relay circuit is activated by a 24 VDC (it's actually a modified a/c circuit) circuit from the control board. When 24 volts is applied to the relay circuit, the relay closes and completes the circuit on the other contatcs and allows the 120 VAC power to flow through the relay and out to the heater or motor. You need to be careful when working with the relays, the 120 VAC wires are "hot" as long as the unit has power supplied to it. Make sure you unplug the power cord when working with the relays. Good Luck and Thanks
