I RECEIVED THE CORRECT (YEA) RETAINER NUT FOR THE WASHER ARM OF MY KITCHEN AID DISHWASHER FROM YOU. THERE IS A …GASGET -?polyurethane ring- just below the main brim of the nut, perhaps for leakage?. Do I need to replace it too? If so, how- where do I find it? The current one is remodeled (melted) with exquisite new form.
ANSWER Sarah, The Radial bearing ring 9742946 serves two purposes, it acts as a seal, to keep the water in the spray arm and produce a higher rate of force on the water to clean the dishes, and it acts as a "smooth" surface for the sprat arm to turn or rotate on. If it's distorted, it needs to be repalced as well. Thanks
