How long do I soak the gasket and do I use the hair dryer on the gasket after I put the gasket on the freezer door? Also, do I need to turn off the refrig/freezer ?before I put the new gasket on?

ANSWER Hello Marlena. You will soak the gasket 63001612 for around 15 to 20 minutes and there is no need to disconnect the power to the unit.
