I replaced the ice chute flap, and now the ice bin is not dispensing crushed ice, is it the solenoid? AP4071375

ANSWER Hi Jamie. Flush out the ice bin completely with water. Make sure the auger and the crusher blades are not clogged and completely dry upon reinstalling. Make sure the long brass colored round arm that extends on the bottom of the ice bin is fully inserted into the crusher solenoid beside the auger motor. The solenoid is part # 61005253. Ohm the coils for resistance. Check each terminal individually to the casing to make sure it is not shorted. Change the yoke assy. part # 61005844 both at the same time. If the fountain control command works and the solenoid itself hums then we at least know the control board and wires to the solenoid are ok. Thank You.
