Should the sound dampening ring be somewhat taught? Mine doesn't seem show excessive wear as it isn't shiney or frayed. However, it is twisted out of shape and does not sit very taught. In fact it seems very loose so that it will slide up and down freely without much of an effort. Could there be another cause for a loud high speed spin cycle? My machine performs a complete cycle but the high speed spin at the end seems rather loud and I think that I can detect that there is some slight rubbing of the tub. Thanks.
ANSWER Hello James. If it is a bearing noise, you will need to replace the tub support 280184. If the noise is more of a knocking noise, check and make sure the drive block 389140 is not bad or broke. Hope this helps.
