I tore apart the back of my crosley gas stove and replaced the oven ignighter. In the process of that I unplugged two wires from the spark module and I'm not sure where those two wires go. While the wires are plugged in, we have a continues spark on the top burners. What do I do?
ANSWER Kirk, There are 6 (six) terminals on the spark module. The four(4) smaller 1/8 in. terminals are for the igniter wires, one to each igniter. The two(2) larger 1/4 in. terminals are for the line(120 VAC) from the igniter switches and neutral (N) wire to the line cord. The smaller terminals have no specific terminal location location on the module(on this style ignition system) But the L and N need to be on the proper terminals on the module. If the igniters continue to spark after you re check the wiring, you'll need to access the igniter switches on the the burner valves and check to make sure the switches are all in the "open" position when the valves are in the "OFF" position. If the switches check OK, the wiring is OK and proper, then you'll need to replace the spark module.
