Do I have to take off the base and the support basket to install the spin pulley, there seems to not have enough space even after lifting the lower shaft need 3/8" more space , is there a trick?
ANSWER Hello Dennis. You will need to remove the front panel. Then, remove the screws securing the top panel. Lift the top of the machine. Remove the pressure hose and the drain hose from the outer tub assembly. Unplug the wires going to the motor and remove them from the frame. Now remove all the springs around the bottom of the tub assembly. Lift the complete tub and dome assembly out of the washer cabinet and turn it over on it's top. Now you can access and replace the pulley 40047202. Reinstall in reverse order. Hope this helps.
