my last question was helpful .spin pulley instalation . instaled new pulley and helix .......when operating by hand ,power disconected ,pulley slides up disengages brake drum turns in the other direction pulley drops down engages helix and locks for wash cycle ...? now power hooked up , wash cycle operates properly ,now spin cycle " tadaaa " same problem spin pulley and helix hop hop hop over each other and as fast as I can push in timer handle ,pulley and helix are now damaged again , yes brakes did disengaged . ? is the shaft the pulley and helix is connected to , move up and down in the transmission ,removing the helix nut washer and 1/4" bolt was tight against the shaft ,should I have eliminated lubracating the shaft the pulley slides on witch has gotten the helix slightly greasy, would additional washers solve this problem .H E L P ..............

ANSWER Dennis, You may want to try this first, otherwise you'll need a new complete transmission. order a revised helix 27001228 and set of spacers/washers 40065701 and 40063201 (you may want to order 2 of these washers) When you install the parts(you may need to add that additional washer) the gap between the pulley and the helix cams should not exceed 3/8 in. in the relaxed mode (the less the gap the better 5/16 in. is ideal) if you can't get a proper adjustment or the isuue returns quickly, the indication would be, the transmission input shaft is pulling out of the pinion gear and you'll need to replace the transmission and associated parts. Good Luck and Thanks
