We need to purchase a replacement middle sprayarm for our dishwasher and was wondering if the cheap piece of plastic washer type thing comes with this replacement part. I'm actually not certain that we need the arm, it has a few small holes that don't look like they belong and our dishwasher has not been cleaning very well and I thought that possibly those holes on the other side of the sprayarm were reducing the power of the spray onto our dishes. However, while checking the spray arm I noticed that the washer type thingy is broken. So, I guess my questions are 1. Do you think I need to replace the spray arm, if I do, does it come with that washer piece?
ANSWER Jessica, The " cheap piece of plastic washer type thing" is the spray arm seal and bearing 8268433, if it is worn or damaged the spray arm wont spin properly. With the spray arm being "plastic" it's not likely to develop "holes" But the openings can get clogged with debris and deposits. When you remove the screw from the bottom of the water tube, to replace the seal, you can also check and clean out the openings on both sides of the arm. You also want to check the water level in the tub, start the dishwasher, let it fill and wash for 5 minutes. Unlatch the door , wait a few seconds, ropen the door , remove the lower wash rack. the water level in the bottom of the tub should be touching the bottom of the heater element(at the least), If you have low water level, it will effect the washability, and you'll need to check the water level float and water inlet valve for operation. Good Luck and Thanks
