Wanted to know how to check the condenser starter (part #:2218853) on my refrigerator, before purchasing a piece that may not be the cause of problem. I plug in the refrigerator the internal bulbs come on but thats all it does. No other sound or movement. Any help would be appreciated. I do have an ohmeter to test with. Thank you.
ANSWER Hello Papi. Test for power coming to the starter 2225929. Also, from each spade to terminal on the starter, it should read closed. Number 5 and the com spade to the terminals on the back of the starter. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
