I am about to give up my compressor as dead but I feel I am missing something. Everything works but the compressor does not start. There is a click followed by humming for 10 seconds then another click with no compressor start. The result is both the refrigerator and freezer is not cooling. I measured resistance over the terminals of the compressor and got 3.7, 4.9 and 8.0. Close to adding up. I also checked continuity of each pole with no alarm. I replaced the start/stop switch and capacitor with this model and have the same results. No compressor start up. I hate to invest more money on a hard start if the compressor is bad. Any ideas?
