Recently on our dryer, if the timer is set to any position other than off, the dryer will start by closing the door or stop as usual by opening the door. The push to start switch doesn't have to be used at all to make it run. Is it likely a bad push to start switch or the door switch?
ANSWER Hello Earl. You can test the start switch 3395382. If it reads closed without pressing the switch in, you will need to replace the start switch. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
