The door latch strike or door latch plate drops down when door is opened and will not let door close. If you hold the plate up with a knife you can close the door and the washer works fine. Is the door latch plate kit what I need to solve my problem? Is it electronic controlled? Everything works fine except the door latch strike drops down when door is opened and cannot close door back except when the latch strike is lifted.
