The post that holds the control knob for one of my burners cracked and broke off. As a result, there's no way to turn the burner on and off, although the burner itself still works just fine. Is my best option to change out the switch?

ANSWER Hello Leslie. Yes, if the shaft is broken on the switch, you will need to replace the switch in the unit.
