On a Kenmore washer model 11020722990, what are the 2 nail like pins that sit in plastic cups hung from the bottom of the base do? They are not long enough to hold the skate plate in position. I had a hard time getting the transmission shaft the last 3/4 of an inch to seat and knocked the skate plate out of position. What holds it in place?
Thanks in advance.
ANSWER Hello Gypsy. The pins are shipping pins and they are never used once the unit is installed into a home. As for the issue your having, if you raise the tub assembly, you can reposition the floater plate.
