My washing machine goes out of balance everytime during the spin cycle. I had to take it apart and put a new pump on it and I think I may have misplaced one of the springs. The drum sits far to the front. Is there supposed to be a spring on the back of the drum connecting to the frame to pull the tub back? Would that cause the drum to always go unbalanced?
ANSWER Hello Mike,
The counter balance spring W10250667 gives enough tension on the rear of the tub assembly to hold the tub assembly up straight. It is necessary because of the weight on the front of the tub assembly from the motor and pump assembly.
