how do i install the above part that was sent to me twice? it does not appear to be the right part but apparently from the forum it says that jenn aire no longer makes the part fan switch that came with the unit
Dan F for Model Number cve4270s
ANSWER Dan, You do have the correct "substitute" part number. In your case, you will only use the switch, and can discard the additional parts. Make sure you turn the power off at the breaker box, or you could cause a direct short and create more damage. Remove the vent grill(you may also want to remove the exhaust filter as well. Carefully remove the two phillipd head screws on the front end of the vent opening(don't drop them into the plenum system) Slide the escutcheon(control panel) towards the back of the cooktop approximately 1/4 to 1/2 inch to release the front tabs from the frame then slowly, carefully lift the panel up as far as safely possible, try not to disconnect any wires, remove the two screws holding the switch to the underside of the panel, and change the switch. Thanks and Good Luck
