When I preheat my oven the temperature only reaches 165 Degrees. Does the limit switch(Part #7403P316-60) appear to be deffective or would it be something else? I replaced this part a little over 4 years ago. Thanks in advance for your help!

Hal for Model Number W131

ANSWER Hal, If the hi limit switch opens, power to the control would be disrupted and the display would also go blank. You may want to start by checking the oven tep sensor 12001656. it should have a resistance of 1080 - 1100 ohms resistance at room temperature and 1350 at 210 dgrsF. and 1650 ohms at 350 dgrs F.If thr esistance is out of range, due to age, wear and tear, loose connection, the resistance will be erratic and could cause your issue.
