I have a whirlpool stove model SF387PEYQ4, 1 out of the 4 burners doesn't work. On the 3 that work, there's a spark on the igniter. Does this mean that on the burner that doesn't work, the igniter surface is bad or the switch-ign is bad?
ANSWER Hello Fernando. Check and make sure the igniter 4371598 is not cracked and it is closed for continuity. If so, you may have a bad spark module 3186576 and it will need to be replaced. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps.http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
