Our washer stopped in the middle of a cycle. It will not agitate or spin. When we close the lid, the motor hums, and then kicks off. We can manually spin the tub counter clockwise only. We looked at the belt on the motor, and it looks fine. There is no pieces of debris under the washer. What could this be?
ANSWER Hello Sue,
Based on the information provided the first thing you want to do is check to make sure that there is nothing in the pump 27001233 causing the motor to stall. If there is try to clear out. Also make sure that the motor is spinning freely. If the pump is clear and the shaft of the motor is not seized then you would want to replace the motor 27001215. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
