need detail on how to replace this touchpad

H Miller for Model Number magic chef 7458xta control panel touchpad

ANSWER Miller, You'll need to be pretty careful, especially with the keypad assembly. First thing to do is turn the power off to the range, you may also want to turn the gas off at the wall, as well. Remove the grates, and burner assemblys( turn the burner 1/4 turn counterclockwise, lift the burner up and out of the opening, disconnect and label the wires at all the burner igniters. You'll need to remove the small phillips head screws, located under the burner capsYou can now use a putty knife to press in on the spring clip and lift the corner of the cooktop on each side and remove the top. You can now remove the gas valve knobs and bezels and open the oven door, Remove the two phillips head screws that attach the control panel to the oven opening frame, and the screws that attach the control panel to the side supports, and slide the panel out and away from the frame work. disconnect the keypad ribbon from the clock ribbon connector(you can dismount the clock if you choose) You can now "peel" the keypad assembly off the control panel, once you remove the adjusting knob. You'll need to remove the residual adhesive from the panel, you can use alcohol, lighter fluid, goon gone, etc. You have to be careful, aligning and affixing the keypad assembly to the control panel, it's a "one shot " deal. Thanks and Good Luck
