Have an older Kenmore series 70 dryer. It will not start. I have checked the thermal fuse and there is full power to the unit. There is power at the on/off switch. I suspect the switch but want to be sure before ordering part. Door switch appears OK and I have tried starting the dryer in various cycle settings Thanks.
ANSWER Hello Alan. The start switch should read closed for continuity when pressed. If it does, then it is good. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
